This year my goal is to raise as much money as possible for the National MS Society and for the Bike the US for MS Foundation. I plan to do this by riding in the 150 mile, two day local event (The Escape to the Lake) and by riding 361 miles around the Olympic Peninsula with Bike the US for MS. I will also be a route leader for Bike the US for MS's bike ride from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC (335 miles). The 150 Escape to the Lake will be especially difficult for me this year as I am choosing to ride 100 miles on the first day. This is a challenging option because of the 6,000 feet of elevation gain. At the age of 72 this will be quite a struggle for this old man.
